The Saffron Void: A novel based on Himalayan Horrors

In the highest reaches of the Himalayas, the ocean is rising. DCP Kabir Sen accepted his transfer to the frozen, desolate wasteland of Spiti Valley as a punishment. A disgraced Delhi cop haunted by the death of his wife, he came to the mountains to disappear into the silence. But the silence in Spiti is not empty. It is listening. When a young tourist is discovered dead in a high-altitude cave, the medical report defies the laws of physics. She didn’t die of hypothermia. She didn't fall. At 4,000 meters above sea level, surrounded by ice and rock, she drowned in saltwater. Even worse, her mouth has been sewn shut with strands of raw, wild saffron, and her teeth are etched with ancient symbols warning of a "rising tide." Teaming up with Tara Dorje, a renegade historian of forbidden folklore, Kabir uncovers a terrifying secret buried since the 1962 Indo-China war. A covert military experiment known as Project Aakash wasn’t trying to intercept enemy radio signals—they were trying to map the frequency of the human soul. instead, they opened a door to the Saffron Void—a dimension where a prehistoric "Ghost Ocean" still covers the earth. Now, a blizzard has sealed the valley. The barometer is crashing. And a cosmic entity known as The Weaver has returned to stitch the tear in reality—using human bone and gristle as thread. As the air turns to brine and the villagers begin to transform into statues of salt, Kabir must race against a storm that consumes everything in its path. To stop the flood, he has to find the source of the broadcast... before the entire world drowns in the sky. Part noir mystery, part Lovecraftian horror, The Saffron Void is a chilling descent into a white hell where the past is never dead, and the silence screams.
