Solter E3 purple tungsten electrodes are designed as a versatile and safe TIG solution, designed for professionals who work with different materials and need a reliable electrode in both DC and AC current. Its rare earth composition provides an optimal balance between ease of ignition, arc stability and durability, maintaining consistent performance in repetitive and precision work. By not containing thorium, these electrodes eliminate the risks associated with traditional thoriated tungstens, becoming a direct substitute for red tungsten without penalizing welding behavior. Their compatibility with steel, stainless steel, aluminum and non-ferrous metals makes them a practical choice for simplifying stock and meeting current safety criteria in professional environments.

Key Features

LOW INTENSITY PRECISION (Ø 1.6 mm): Recommended diameter for low amperage and high precision TIG work, ideal in thin plates, small tubes and detailed welding in stainless steel, carbon steel and non-ferrous metals, where maximum arc control and minimal thermal input is required.

Stable operation in AC and DC: Designed for TIG welding (GTAW) in both direct and alternating current, offering a stable and controllable arc in applications where different processes and materials alternate.

RARE EARTH TIG E3 ELECTRODE (NON-RADIACTIVE): Purple tungsten electrodes doped with a mixture of rare earth oxides (1.5% lanthanum, 0.08% zirconium and 0.08% yttrium), without thorium content. Modern and safe alternative to red tungsten, no radiological hazards to the operator.

EASY START AND TIP MAINTENANCE: Excellent arc ignition even at low intensity, with good stability during welding and less tip degradation, which reduces bath pollution and improves bead repeatability.

WIDE MATERIAL COMPATIBILITY AND PROFESSIONAL USE: Suitable for welding carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum and other non-ferrous metals. Supplied in boxes of 10 units, intended for professional use, maintenance and manufacturing.
