Proven life-saving equipment – LifeVac has helped save more than 5,000 lives from choking incidents. Interlocking, quick release brackets – wall-mountable, interlocking brackets not only allow your kits to be immediately visible and easily accessible but also allow you to customise and reconfigure your first aid point to suit the space available should you add additional kits. Photoluminescent headers – ensure your first aid point is always visible even in situations where there is smoke or minimal lighting with these photoluminescent headers. Bracket labels – having bracket labels allows staff to quickly identify which kit is missing from the first aid point and ensure that it is replaced after use. Certified by MHRA – the anti-choking device is fully compliant with the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency’s safety and quality standards for peace of mind while travelling. Enables swift intervention during critical incidents – the LifeVac allows rapid action in choking emergencies, while the first aid kit provides essential supplies for cuts, burns, sprains, and other common injuries, helping to minimise complications. Promotes employee confidence and peace of mind – knowing that both everyday first aid and life-saving choking devices are readily available helps staff feel secure, empowered, and prepared to act in an emergency. Cost-effective risk management solution – this combination offers an affordable way to protect employees, visitors, and customers, while reducing potential legal claims and reputational damage. Suitable for all UK workplaces – ideal for offices, schools, restaurants, care homes, retail environments, and industrial sites where food is served, physical activity occurs, or injuries are possible, providing versatile safety coverage. Why Businesses Should Have a LifeVac Device on Their Premises Choking is a leading cause of accidental death, especially among children and adults over 65, who are seven times more likely to choke than young children. Brain damage can occur within six minutes of oxygen loss, and death can follow in under ten, while ambulance response times average eight minutes. Each year, around 351 people in the UK die from choking, though the true number is likely higher due to underlying conditions like Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s that increase risk. Having a LifeVac as well as a first aid kit on site provides vital protection for staff and visitors in the event of a choking emergency, whether caused by food, medication or small objects. What Does British Standard Compliant Mean? By choosing a first aid kit that complies with BS8599-1, you’re ensuring your workplace meets a nationally recognized standard for first aid provision. These kits are carefully specified to provide a consistent, high-quality level of care in line with UK health and safety guidance. The contents and size of British Standard kits are determined by workplace risk assessments, taking into account both the number of employees and the hazard level of the environment. Th
