Description

PREMIUM REDITION, FAITH TO THE ORIGINAL EDITION — NEW MASTERING. Released a year after Magma, this 1001° centigrade which, in its first edition, was simply entitled 2 is marked immediately by the prominence of Christian Vander's drum set, which remained relatively discreet on the first installment. We also find the martial singing of Klaus Blasquiz but the rest of the staff has changed even if we also find François Cahen on keyboards, Françis Moze on bass and Teddy Lasry at the head of the brass. The music of this second LP, simple, is more structured than that of its predecessor, following strictly a story, that initially of Rïah Sahïltaahk, inhabitant of the planet Kobaa, who came to save the earth from all its ills before leaving sheep and drowning. The eponymous piece that covers the entire first face narrates his misadventures and it is as already mentioned the percussion of Vander that lead the dance. An often frenetic, eruptive dance, propelled by the smashed piano of "Faton" Cahen and the evil brass of Teddy Lasry and his new friends (Jeff Seffer and Louis Toesca). "Iss Lansï Doïoa" approaches both jazz, and the New York avant-garde of repetitive music as well as the last track "Ki Ïahl ö Lähk" close to jazz rock and rather more melodic with a beautiful electric piano solo by François Cahen. A disc a bit more accessible than its predecessor, so but no less fascinating.
