The Puig Brake Cooler 22294N in black has been developed to directly improve braking safety, feel and stability in demanding riding situations. Brakes work within a limited thermal range and, when those values are exceeded due to intense and continuous braking or high ambient temperatures, there is a loss of effectiveness and braking feel. To prevent this overheating, Puig has created the Brake Cooler system, capable of reducing the average temperature of the brake calipers by up to 30 degrees according to track tests, resulting in more constant, predictable and controlled braking. The assembly consists of cooling ducts that act as an air channel, capturing, compressing and accelerating the airflow to direct it straight toward the calipers and discs, ensuring that the braking system operates in optimal conditions even in sporty riding or particularly hot months. It also incorporates wheel-cover-type deflectors that reduce turbulence at the front wheel and compensate for the additional aerodynamic drag generated by the ducts, improving front-end stability and the bike’s aerodynamic efficiency at high speeds. All parts have been entirely designed and manufactured in Barcelona using high-end technical plastics and metal brackets with anti-corrosion treatment, resulting in a lightweight assembly that is impact- and UV-resistant, with a discreet textured black finish that integrates perfectly with the bike’s original aesthetics. Installation is quick and simple, and can be carried out without advanced knowledge by following the step-by-step instructions provided on paper or available online; it is essential to respect the specified torque settings for the bolts, as this is a sensitive technical area.
