To make night time readings easier, for instance in a childs room at night, the Gentle Temp 720 also has a backlight function. it also has Omron's 3in1 function that enables you to measure the temperature of the room as well as surface temperature. The Gentle Temp 720 infrared forehead thermometer detects the infrared emission of the skin on the forehead at the measured point, and then calculates the oralequivalent value.
