Finished in authentic British Gas blue and white livery, it’s ideal for industrial or depot-themed layouts set in Era 8. The Hornby 88DS ‘Hilsea’ represents Ruston & Hornsby's durable 0-4-0 industrial shunter, delivered new to British Gas (Southern) in 1961. Based at Hilsea Gas Works, No. 1139 worked shunting duties until its retirement and preservation in the late 1980s. Safety Warning Detailed scale model. Not suitable for children under 14 years.
