Remove branches and obstacles within a 2-metre radius to provide bats with a clear flight path. Ensure the narrow entrance faces downwards or away from prevailing winds to protect bats from predators. Hang multiple boxes at least 5 metres apart to support several bat families. Inspect and clean the box annually in late winter before bats return.
