Despotika of The Depths: Fables of the Fairest Folk

Long ago, on another earth, the angels were defeated; the demons prevailed, and the Wicked race emerged. Several millennia later, they are still led by the anointed Corinthian dynasty. Under their brutal rule, the Wicked have conquered much of the planet. Theirs is a despotic society of unbridled lust, objectification, savagery, slavery, and drug use. From glitzy clubs to blood-soaked colosseums to dens of utter depravity, the Wicked live to serve the demons and feed their most primal desires. When the Corinthian Empress dies suddenly and without apparent cause, one of her two daughters must be selected to ascend the Crimson Throne. Princess Nemahsis is forced to flee, however, when her older and homicidally psychotic sister, Princess Sinistra, is selected to be Empress under nefarious circumstances. A fugitive on the run, Nemahsis discovers that it's more than just the dreaded Inquisition that's hunting her. Forces beyond her comprehension are at work, and something far more frightening than anything she ever imagined will find her. Only with the help of an ancient and virulent evil can she survive. Thrust into a morbid world of demons, foul abominations, deep dungeons, and daring knights, Nemahsis must gather her forces and uncover the truth about the origins of her people. Only then will she have any chance of regaining what she lost and find her salvation in darkness.
