Simply power on, and the BM-1 will detect and pair with nearby BLE-MIDI devices automatically. the BM-1 has flexible connection options and the main adapter (MIDI OUT) and sub-adapter (MIDI IN) can be used together or separately to match your setup. If your equipment only has a MIDI OUT terminal, you can use just the main adapter. (NOTE: The sub-adapter cannot be used on its own). The adapters are different depths and connected by a flexible cable, making them easy to attach even when the MIDI IN and MIDI OUT jacks are close together or vertically aligned. Group multiple MIDI devices using the dedicated Korg BM-1 App which lets you group up to five BM-1 units to send and receive MIDI between them. No external power supply or batteries required - the BM-1 runs on 5V or 3.3V power supplied via the MIDI OUT terminal of the connected device. There is no need for batteries or charging. Firmware updates via dedicated app keeps the BM-1 up to date using the free Korg BM-1 App. The Korg BM-1 App is only available for iOS/iPadOS.
