Planck's Unfinished Radiance: The Energy Quantum Theory and the Mass-Energy Unity Across Micro and Macro Scales

The true brilliance of Planck’s formula lies in its revelation of the mass-energy relationship in the microscopic world. Beyond describing the behavior of energy quanta like photons, \( E = h u \), when combined with Einstein’s mass-energy equivalence (\( E = mc^2 \)), unveils the characteristic frequency of mass quanta (e.g., electrons, quarks) as \( u = mc^2/h \). This formula, like a key, unlocks the deep connection between energy and mass, yet it remained obscured by the inertia of classical physics and the mathematical abstractions of quantum mechanics. EQT emerges as a rediscovery of this neglected truth, centering frequency to classify fundamental particles into energy quanta (photons, gravitons, gluons, with no rest mass, traveling at light speed) and mass quanta (electrons, quarks, W/Z bosons, Higgs, with rest mass), surpassing traditional boson-fermion classifications and returning to the intuitive essence of physical phenomena. Imagine a "frequency map" of the particle world. In this map, photons span a vast electromagnetic spectrum from \( 10^6 \) to \( 10^{20} \) Hz, freely traversing the cosmos; gravitons, at low frequencies of \( 10^2 \) to \( 10^{10} \) Hz, sketch the gravitational contours of galaxies; electrons mark the birth of matter at \( 10^{20} \) Hz; and the Higgs boson, at \( 3.02 \times 10^{25} \) Hz, acts as a bridge transforming massless energy quanta into massive mass quanta. This map delineates three domains—low-frequency (energy quanta dominance), transition (mass generation), and high-frequency (potential new particles)—revealing nature’s elegant unity. Planck’s formula is the brush painting this map, and EQT is the artist connecting the dots into a grand canvas. EQT is not merely a theoretical innovation but a philosophical return. It challenges the mathematical abstraction of modern quantum mechanics, advocating a phenomenon-driven physical picture. While traditional quantum mechanics relies on probabilistic wavefunctions, achieving computational success but often distancing physicists from nature’s intuitive essence, EQT roots itself in Planck’s formula. Through frequency spectra and energy quantum density fields (\( F \propto - abla \rho \)), it unifies the electromagnetic, weak, strong, and gravitational interactions, offering new perspectives on dark matter and dark energy. It redefines spacetime—time as the rhythm of energy quantum density changes, and space as the canvas of density distribution. This simple yet profound framework unveils the universe’s journey from the Big Bang to its expansion. This book embarks on an exploratory journey from history to the future. Chapter 1 traces the birth of Planck’s formula, revisiting the 1900 breakthrough of the "ultraviolet catastrophe" and revealing its overlooked mass-energy insights. Chapter 2 compares Planck’s formula with Einstein’s mass-energy equation, using \( u = mc^2/h \) to bridge the microscopic and macroscopic. Chapter 3 introduces EQT’s classification of energy and mass quanta, surpassing traditional frameworks and highlighting the Higgs mechanism’s bridging role. Chapter 4 maps the frequency spectrum, unveiling the energy map of the particle world and the law of frequency-interaction range. Chapter 5 critiques the limitations of wavefunctions, advocating EQT’s phenomenon-driven revival. Chapter 6 constructs EQT’s complete framework, unifying the four fundamental forces via density fields and proposing experimental validation paths. Chapter 7 explores EQT’s philosophical implications and future prospects, from quantum gravity to dark matter exploration. The conclusion calls readers to join this quest for nature’s unification, co-authoring the unfinished chapter of Planck’s formula.
