This distance depends on the length of the handle on which the head of the cutter tip is placed, as well as the individual technique of the operator. The cutter tip should not protrude too far from the handle as this can cause vibration in the handle and loud operation of the machine. The cutter tip should not be pressed all the way to the end of the head, as pressing too hard can damage the head mechanism. If you feel resistance after inserting the cutter tip into the sleeve (it is pushed to the end), it should be pushed forward a few millimetres. After the cutter tip is inserted correctly, turn the locking mechanism of the cutter tip to the right as indicated by the arrow, towards the open padlock symbol, (you will hear a characteristic click).
