Description
A collectible trilogy about Cuba and its urban heritage, destroyed by a dictatorship lasting more than six decades and an inhumane system called Communism. Starting with Havana, this immersive and interactive book allows you to transport yourself to present-day Cuba through QR code links. The idea for this project was born in 2021 as an alternative stance against the continued destruction and neglect in the city. Written and edited in the strictest secrecy after three years of hard work, it is now revealed. Architect Julio Herrera was born in Havana, Cuba, in 1986, three years before the fall of the Berlin Wall and five years before the disintegration of the Soviet state, the USSR. He has lived his entire life inside the world's largest open-air prison, never leaving it. A survivor of the Special Period of the 1990s on the prison island and of a communist dictatorial regime now in existence for more than six decades, known as the longest-running dictatorship in the Western Hemisphere and a destroyer of the future of all Cubans.
