A few years after its creation, the company hired an agent in Bordeaux, Place du Champ de Mars, and sells great wines, such as Château-Laffitte, Château Margaux, Château Latour and Haut-Brion, as well as eaux-de-vie from Cognac and Languedoc. From 1818 to today Calvet has continued to share his passion, that of making the world discover the richness of French terroirs by awakening the senses and palaces. Calvet Extra Old (XO) is the result of a careful blend of the eaux-de-vie best able to provide a cognac of character

A fresh cognac, with good tension and fruit purity, supported by very fine and sweet mature aromas

The nose is open and complex, with notes of candied fruit (lemon, quince, orange, apricot), sweet dry spices, floral notes of orange blossom and a fine note of nuts, almonds, hazelnuts

Dry and fresh on the palate, with good energy and tension, showing plenty of candied quince, orange and apricot, combined with sweet spices like vanilla and cinnamon, adding warmth and sweetness, and a fine hazelnut note adding crunch
