Inventing and projects use similar procedures, and thinking techniques. Thinking techniques are similar to tools. Similar tools can be used to do many things. Problem troubleshooting requires a specific tool which is called troubleshooting. This book shows you how to troubleshoot ANY problem. But symptoms will depend on the problem, such as a business problem or an automobile repair problem. The book chapters are: Chapter 1 Preparation Helps you get started. Chapter 2 Strategy Has strategies like what you see in self-help books. Chapter 3 Procedures Explains procedures used to invent or do projects. It also has troubleshooting steps. Chapter 4 Thinking Techniques are used to improve your ability to perform procedures. Chapter 5 Patents explains how to write a patent. Methods to create dependent claims (functions) are shown. Chapter 6 Testing Has tips for testing what you have created. Chapter 7 Search Has tips for searching, references, and miscellaneous information. There is a list of books that I read while creating this book. I recommend that you also read them. They go into more depth in specific areas of thinking. Chapter 8 Analysis Log shows you how to create and use an analysis log. An analysis log helps you to stay organized as you think. Chapter 9 Invention systems introduces you to other thinking systems and problem solving methods Chapter 10 is the author's biography. I had an exceptional father who helped rather than hindered my growth as an individual who was different from him. My mother did the same. They were a team. Chapter 11 History of Thinking is a brief chronical of thinking, from the invention of the wheel onward. The specific events that lead to the creation of this book are also presented. Flashcards are there to help you learn. The index is over a hundred pages long. I have tried to list anything that you may want to find.
