For the album, Kane went 'back to basics', going back to their own songwriting roots. For this fifth studio album, they wrote the songs in a short amount of time. Together with keyboardist Nico Brandsen, the album was fully produced by the band themselves. The album was warmly received by fans, and one of Kane's most successful periods began. The first single, "No Surrender", undeniably became Kane's biggest hit.
