Description

From the cool 2019 vintage with just 3% reserve wine, this rosé has had over four years on lees and, whilst being full of succulent summer fruit notes, there is a bottleage complexity that also allows the wine to be considered as a gastronomic rosé. With a ripe and sunny palate that is full, textured and rounded, with echoes of strawberries and cream, the wine is firmly dry for this is not a simple Rosé; The dosage at 8 g/l is low for a rosé, with the aim being to allow the grape character shine through and the wine's longaged complexity to finish the palate.

A beautiful, vivid wild strawberry pink with a hue of red onion skin on the rim. The rose expression of their Classic Cuvee. Aged a minimum of 45 months, this Chardonnay-led blend will reveal rich aromas of red fruits, delivered in a clean, crisp, yeasty finish.

At the finish, Hambledon's chalky soils and the influence of the Pinot Noir red wine add a hint of phenolic bite. The wine's initial minimalist, albeit alluringly refreshing start then unfolds and expands into aromas of wild strawberry and gentle vanilla.
