Product Description
Acid Jazz’s Mod-Soul warriors return to the fold for their third album on the label ‘What Kind Of World’ on the 29 August. A fantastic journey through the ever-expanded world of songwriter and frontman Nick Corbin, it charts a growing maturity, but no lack of bite, as he takes on the challenges and joys of everyday life. New Street Adventure made a name for themselves around 2010, with their smart take on soul music by a guitar band. Their songs had a gritty edge that took a wry and sometime angry look at life in the UK under austerity, whilst also remembering the things that made it worthwhile. Songs such as ‘Big AC’, ‘On Our Front Doorstep’ and ‘What’s So Good About Happiness?’ became anthems at their sold-out shows at venues including the 100 Club and 229. After a return to the live stage last year to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their debut album, the group have returned to the studio and present ten new songs, including advance singles ‘Get You Back’ and ‘What Kind Of A Woman’. Produced by Nick, mixed Colemine Records associate Rafferty Swink and mastered by JJ Golden, this is New Street at their most impressive, and sounding better that they ever have. The fabulous photography of Dean Chalkley ensures that this looks as amazing as New Street Adventure albums always do, available on LP and CD alongside digital platforms. Tracklisting:* 1. What Kind Of World? 2. Get You Back 3. A Taste Of Love 4. Busy With My Baby 5. What A Woman 6. The Next Chapter 7. Everyone’s A Music Maker 8. Let Me Loose 9. Too Good Together 10. When I See You With Him
