Flagship RedLine VDE Range C.K Tools RedLine VDE tools are developed for professional electricians, electrical contractors, panel builders and maintenance engineers who require verified electrical safety, controlled handling and task-specific performance. This side cutter is designed for installation, servicing, panel work and live-working applications within its stated voltage and working limits. The 200 mm nominal format combines the model’s dedicated jaw function with rounded insulated handles for dependable day-to-day electrical work. Purpose-Built Function The high-leverage head and C.K optimised jaw geometry support demanding repeated conductor cutting with controlled hand positioning. The 200 mm variant with a 210 mm stated total length is rated for 2.5 mm hard; 4.2 mm medium-hard; > 6.0 mm soft for professional installation, panel building and maintenance. Use the tool only with conductor and fastener sizes within the stated limits. The dedicated profile supports accurate hand positioning during repeated cable preparation, enclosure assembly and maintenance tasks. Verified Electrical Safety The tool is VDE approved and individually tested to 10,000 V for safe live working up to 1,000 V. This model conforms to IEC 60900:2004; VDE 0682/201. Live working must be carried out by qualified users following an appropriate risk assessment, PPE requirements, isolation procedures where applicable and an established safe system of work. Control, Comfort and Work at Height Compared with the previous-generation C.K Tools handle, the redesigned rounded handles use 30% more material to create a fuller grip profile. This comparison relates specifically to the preceding handle design and does not represent a 30% increase in cutting performance. The two-component ergonomic construction and anti-slip horns improve comfort, control and hand positioning during repeated use. Fully integrated tether connection points in both handles conform to VDE requirements. Optional C.K Tools lanyards can be used as part of an ANSI-compliant work-at-height system. Construction and Specification Made in Germany from drop-forged special alloy steel, the tool uses induction-hardened jaws and C.K optimised cutting geometry for long-term performance.
