Retired Lincoln's Inn Solicitor, Farid El Diwany, has as one of his most treasured possessions a (framed) letter from former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher - the Iron Lady - on the subject of the brutal conflict in the former Yugoslavia in the 1990's. Mrs Thatcher was appalled at the lack of conscience that Europe - and Britain in particular - had towards the bestial suffering endured by the Muslim population in the former Yugoslavia at the hands of the Serbs and Croats. Farid El Diwany was born in London to an Egyptian Muslim father and a German Lutheran-born mother. He attended talks in the late 1990's at the Bosnia Institute in London - which included lectures by Lady Thatcher's personal advisor Noel Malcolm. One of Farid's closest friends was fellow Egyptian Sir Zaki Badawi, the senior Imam at the Central London Mosque in Regent's Park, who knew President Alia Izetbegovic of Bosnia. This book details the major players involved in the betrayal of the Bosnian Muslims in complete clarity and reproduces newsclips from the British Press covering the end of days for the Serb butchers Milosevic, Karadzic and Mladic.
