The 1/16 R/C M4 Sherman 105mm Howitzer was the first R/C model kit TAMIYA introduced in 1974. This began the more than 50-year RC history of the company Tamiya. This legendary kit is the updated version of item 56014 1/16 R/C M4 Sherman 105mm Howitzer with a new gearbox. A new type 540 engine is used and replaced the two 380 engines of the old version. The highlight is the differential steering system, which is technically reproduced from an original armour. Generally, tanks use the clutch brake steering system: the power of the central engine is passed on to both chains, and the speeds can be controlled by brake writing. Thus, the tank can also be steered by making different turns between the right and left chains. During World War II, most American tanks were equipped with this steering system.
