Description

This series of the Dictionary of FBB Surnames volume has taken nearly ten years in the design, research evidence collection and the compilation of entries within the context of Foundational History. Many modern Dictionaries are illustrated, this style of dictionary is nothing new, but the Dictionary of FBB Surnames series is illustrated with original, contextualized, primary source visual evidence for each entry. A unique research work and resource for the range of historians, teachers, families, researchers, librarians and students of all ages. In this ground-breaking series you will read for the first time about the original holders of many surnames used today. Part One takes the reader on an evidenced, onomastic and historical journey by presenting an array of visual faces from the past. Each page is a multi-modal revelation as the primary source documentation carefully authenticates the original Black nobility and ruling families of Britain. In many cases their surnames are thoroughly substantiated by their French Norman lineage. The study of toponyms and anthroponyms provide a direct gateway to the foundational people of a place. For example, in this volume of the dictionary you will discover how the surname Brown is related to the global Brun/Braun cognates or variants of Germany whose lineage connects them to the royalty and noble families of historic rulership. Similarly, the original Knights of Britain were obviously connected to the ruling nobility such as King Edward III’s favourite Knight, Sir James Audley, documented in this edition as a wealthy Foundational Black landowner whose annual income was a staggering £184,000, in today’s monetary equivalence. As one of the original twenty-five Knights of the Order of the Garter, Audley and his colleagues were the original founders of the garb worn by the current royals who are historically, linguistically and anthropologically Later Europeans, andwho have removed from their public displays of pageantry all optics of a Foundational Black origin. Until now, with the publication of this first ever edition of The Dictionary of Foundational Black Britons.
