What are the hole saws used for ? They are used to cut perfectly round holes in a wide variety of materials. Widely used in plate holes, household wood, galvanized pipe, fire hose, plastic, gypsum board and other opening operations. As the saw spins, the teeth cut into the chosen material, removing a circular piece (slug) as it saws through. Because they only cut out the perimeter line of the hole, they are much more EFFICIENT than a spade drill or twist drill. Common Applications Steel, stainless steel, cast iron, copper, bronze, aluminum, wood and plastic. INSTRUCTIONS Pre-drill using light contact pressure. Continue drilling with minimal, even pressure; avoid oscillating while drilling. Follow speed guidelines and use coolant. Allow hole saw to “air” when using with wood and wood alternatives. The saw comes to a complete stop on your material before pulling it away.
