Although Master Tung’s Acupuncture has been in the public domain since his untimely passing in 1975, very little information is available publicly on how to use the system in a practical and systematic way in the clinic in English. In this Second Edition, I hope to guide my fellow colleagues into the intricacies of applying Master Tung’s Acupuncture in the clinic for pain. Since I am also a practicing martial artist and deal with sports injuries, pain management, and worker’s comp injuries quite frequently, I wrote this book based on my clinical experience and the protocols that I use daily. Each of these protocols has been personally used by me one time or another in the clinic. Both new acupuncturists and seasoned veterans will benefit from this book, and certainly, the investment for the book will pay for itself over and over! Since the publishing of the First Edition of Master Tung’s Acupuncture for Pain, I have traveled to far away countries, taught numerous classes in person and online, faced a pandemic and struggled through lockdown, had to social distance and wear masks and mask up, all the while maintaining my clinic. Throughout my career, there was a time for introspection, and improving how to present my work, and add on areas of insights and improvement since the first release of this book. Indeed, nearly nine years have passed since I released the first edition, and of course, there have been changes and discoveries, as well as improvements to my understanding, writing and editing.
