This love letter to London from my heart is an intimate, personal portrait of London, a place I am privileged and proud to call home and have done for most of my life. Written from my perspective and filled with some of my favourite photographs, I share fascinating insights, experiences and local knowledge of this cosmopolitan and multiculturally diverse city. It is not your usual general London guidebook, nor does it focus on a single aspect of our epic city. Instead, it depicts: Part 1 - my favourite London riverside walks. Part 2 - a comprehensive portrayal of the South-East London areas of Bermondsey, Royal Maritime Greenwich, Deptford and Woolwich downriver on the south bank. Part 3 - the City of London with its traditions, pageantry, and modern glass office towers surrounded by the remains and discoveries of Roman Londinium. Part 4 - the West End, a non-descript name for London’s exciting cultural, political, entertainment, and shopping epicentre with its fabulous royal parks. Part 5 - the elevated views of London. Part 6 - London’s peculiar places and oddities. Part 7 - quintessential Legal London and the Inns of Court; the area of the City I know intimately, fuelled by my knowledge of the legal practice and profession.
