A dry and refreshing Spanish white wine made with the highest quality Verdejo de Rueda grapes. Founded in 1927 by local winegrowers, Bodega Protos is the oldest wine company in Spain’s Ribera Del Duero. Wine experts nurture the 1,400ha vineyards throughout the growing process to ensure its high quality. Straw yellow in colour with green hints that reflect its youth and typical of the Verdejo de Rueda grape variety. Aromas of tropical fruits and citrus fruits first appear along with white fruits and herbs, such as boxwood and fennel. On the palate, Protos Verdejo is dry with an elegant balance of freshness and acidity. It has a soft mouthfeel due to the time spent on its lees and a long, slightly bitter finish, typical of the variety.
