With the Goose Lock, ABUS has developed a dimensionally stable bicycle lock that is both tactile and visually appealing, with impressive colours and design. It consists of several components: the classic 4 mm thick steel chain, the swan neck, the foam cover and a plastic fibre sheath. The steel chain – like the housing and load-bearing parts of the locking mechanism – is made of specially hardened steel. The term "gooseneck" refers to a metal tube that ensures the lock retains its shape. This allows the lock to be bent into the desired shape and wrapped tightly around the bike frame. The foam gives the lock its distinctive feel and ensures that it does not rattle during transport. The durable, highly flexible plastic fibre coating offers excellent protection against abrasion and scratches. Thanks to its dimensional stability and foam, the lock is very easy to transport.
