AMC 8/MATHCOUNTS Advanced Fundamentals Part-1: Algebra & Counting (AlphaStar Academy Math: Fundamentals)

This book is designed for middle school students with experience in preparing for math competitions like AMC 8 and MATHCOUNTS. It focuses on Algebra and Counting, offering lecture notes, example problems with solutions, and exercise problems without solutions. Solutions to the exercises are available in a supplementary book. This book is written by the Math faculty of AlphaStar Academy, an education company located in the San Francisco Bay Area that specializes in in-person and online courses for contest preparation in Math, Computer Science, and Physics. The lead author, Dr. Richard Spence, is a two-time MATHCOUNTS Nationals qualifier, USAMO qualifier, AlphaStar alumnus and faculty member, and a member of the MathCON competition editorial board.
