Description

The book, also in two volumes for e-book, paperback and hardcover formats, is divided into three parts. The first outlines a brief history of the development of the notion of curve since the Greeks, then gives the tools needed to study plane curves. Numerous examples and exercises complete this section. The second part takes the form of a dictionary listing, in alphabetical order, a large number of curves of all kinds, numerous theorems and properties concerning them, and various notions relating to the theory of curves. Each entry is illustrated with figures, comments and references to sources to help the reader learn more.
