Part V expands our view to the Milky Way, galaxies, cosmology, and discusses the possibility of extraterrestrial life. Each chapter incorporates key terms, important individuals, conceptual questions, and suggested activities. The revised first edition features corrections throughout, adjusted figures, and a new chapter on the lifespans of technological civilizations. Conceptual Astrophysics is an ideal text for courses in introductory astronomy.
