OptiMate TM522-D2CK Car Kit - 12V Solar Powered Charger and Maintenance Device for Maintaining a 12V Battery via the OBDII Port of the Vehicle

With the OptiMate Solar Car Kit, you can charge and maintain your vehicle's battery from the cabin without having to make an external connection to the vehicle battery. Maintain your battery safely for weeks or months without ever overcharging it.

The O-37 fused OBDII adapter connects the intelligent charge controller to the vehicle's OBDII port, which is usually located under or near the steering wheel. Note: The OBDII port of a vehicle is designed for a charging current of up to 5 amps. The 20W solar panel delivers less than 1.5 amps even when the module is illuminated by the sun. In low light, the power supplied is lower. The TM522D intelligent charge controller automatically regulates the charging voltage to the correct level for the 12V battery in your vehicle. It will never overcharge the battery.

The fully automatic, multi-stage program of the control unit safely brings the battery to a full charge and then receives the battery daily.

Supplied with suction cups that allow the 20W panel to be attached to the vehicle's windscreen. You can also flip the suction cups over to use as feet/protector when you install the 20W solar panel on the dashboard or luggage cover.

The 20 watt panel provides enough power to charge the battery even in cloudy skies.

During the day, the controller provides a safe charge of the battery and at night the controller shows the charge status by flashing the LED, which corresponds to the charge level reached during the day.
