Hammerite Metal Paint can be applied directly onto rusty metal thanks to a formula that has been developed to be a primer, undercoat and topcoat in one. It gives a brilliant gloss finish that is smooth to touch whilst forming a barrier that not only seals out moisture and gives long lasting protection, both inside and out. The fabric is machine woven, giving the fibres a double anchor with low lint and washing out well after use. The 12mm (0.5") medium pile is suitable for interior emulsion paints (eg. matt, silk, eggshell) on smooth surfaces such as plaster, drywall and ceilings (including light to medium textured plasters such as artex). For best results the roller should be washed in cold or tepid water before first use to remove any loose fibres. Stand the roller on its end and allow it to dry fully (ideally overnight) before using. For gloss and satin paints, choose a shorter pile ProDec roller: either a specialist Gloss Pile or foam roller, or a shorter pile woven fabric like 6mm Short Pile Microfibre.
