All diving masks should provide a good field of vision, and they should be both comfortable and waterproof. But apnea masks require an additional design feature: they must have an ultra-low volume so that it only takes a breath of air to equalize, because often it's all the air that a free diver needs to spare. The Steel Comp frameless mask goes even further. This is the ultimate double lens snorkeling mask, and it is especially suitable for deep divers. It has the lowest possible internal volume, so equalization is easy. But on the descent, the mask itself compresses, so equalization is not needed as often. The flat, ultra clear, double scratch-resistant tempered glass guarantees an appreciation without distortion of underwater colors. The frameless design, coupled with the soft skirt, provides a universal fit and elegant appearance. The double brim silicone skirt creates an excellent seal on the face. The Steel Comp mask has a wide split head strap for comfort with easy to adjust buckle assemblies. Elevating the ears is easy thanks to the easy-to-access nasal pocket. To store the mask safely, it is equipped with a protective mask box. Note: With the steel comp, when the water pressure increases, the bridge between the lenses bends slightly and squeezes the mask tighter on the face. The only noticeable indication is a brief change in vision because the eyes need a split second to adjust. For this reason, Steel Comp masks are not recommended for scuba diving
