About the book. FØGRÁ presents her ultimate art book containing 138 graphic works that will take you through a multitude of eras, styles and themes. It's the type of collection that you'd want to come back to again and again, contemplating different sections and figuring out the deeper meaning behind each image. The artist purposely leaves her rich and melodic, multi-layered montages slightly-off-focus, resulting in an atmospheric, fairy tale mood. Every artwork in a book is a coded message sent to the word and vice versa. This dynamic works as a subtle and curious alchemy between pictures and words. FØGRÁ's work is largely influenced by her classical musical education received in Riga in times of Soviet Latvia. She attributes her move to New York to the musician Sting who, as she puts it, infected her with unparalleled harmonies that pulled her right out of the tuneless world of her past. About the artist. FØGRÁ is the acclaimed illustrator and graphic artist, known for such international bestsellers as Dr. Jordan B. Peterson’s "Beyond Order: 12 More Rules for Life" and Peterson-Føgra co-production "An ABC of Childhood Tragedy".
