Blackmagic 2110 IP Presentation Converter This model is specially designed for lectern and presentations. It connects mixers to computers, projectors, microphones and PA systems. It has HDMI and a USB-C port for video that also powers a laptop. For use with projectors, an HDMI output is available, which can be switched to video input or the 2110 IP return feed. There are XLR microphone jacks and XLR audio outputs for PA speakers. The RJ-45 10G Ethernet video port provides power to the converter even while a computer is charged via USB. Rackmount models allow installation in equipment racks right next to devices whose signals are to be converted. Converters allow users to cost-effectively transform all their video equipment for use with SMPTE 2110 systems. Blackmagic 2110 IP products comply with the SMPTE-ST-2110 IP video standard for transmitting, synchronizing and describing 10-bit video, audio and additional data over managed IP networks for broadcasting. It is also possible to re-clock incoming SDI signals to a common PTP clock or synchronise signals from external devices with the reference output also generated by the PTP watch. To use larger SMPTE-2110 systems such as broadcasting, users can connect all their video equipment to an Ethernet switch. First, connect the devices to the Ethernet switch and then configure the Ethernet switch accordingly to connect the devices together. As with a large video crossbar, all connections are made between the SMPTE-2110 devices. Ale Blackmagic 2110 IP products support the NMOS protocol. The codec based on a few FPGA modules ensures that SMPTE-2110 IP video products remain affordable. The ports of the Blackmagic 2110 IP Converter support SD, HD and Ultra HD video standards. This means users can integrate existing SDI broadcast equipment into a new IP-based infrastructure. In Ultra HD, all video standards up to 2160p/60 are supported. The converters automatically switch to the video standard of a new input. The multi-channel models can process a different video standard on each channel.
