The most iconic trends and hottest topics in contemporary fashion, illustrated with designs from Gucci, Dior, Valentino and more What makes an article of clothing iconic? While trends come and go, certain designs, red-carpet looks or everyday staples remain memorable for their technique, cultural significance or iconoclasm. Memorabile: Ipermoda zooms in on style from 2015 to 2025, examining the most prevalent trends and topics, including personal stylists and the question of authorship; sustainable design and the rise of "fast fashion"; and inclusive sizing. The catalog accompanying the exhibition is an atlas in which these theoretical questions are more deeply examined. It defines new words and concepts that have shaped sociopolitical outlooks on one of the world's largest industries.
