Product Description A campaign in Asia of the 20s September 1923. An urgent and mysterious telegram sent by an American adventurer embarks researchers on an epic journey through China, central Asia, northern India and occult Tibet. Following in the footsteps of famous Buddhist explorer and monk Hiuen-Tsiang (immortalized in the fantastic Chinese saga Journey to the West), researchers will discover ancient temples, lost lakes, dusty museums, ossuaries, venerable monasteries, and secret, hidden valleys in an epic quest to prevent the "King of Fear" and their destitute lieutenants Trying everything you love. The Children of Fear is a multi-part campaign set in the 1920s that explores some of the myths and legends of Central Asia and North India. The core of the campaign is meant to allow players to take the reins, allowing researchers to decide what their journey will look like. In addition, the storyline has been designed with flexibility, allowing to play at different scales or with varying degrees of involvement of the Cthulhu Myths, either including the outer gods themselves or as a series of more contained and occult-based adventures. Guidance is provided for the Guardian to tailor the exact nature of the threat in a way that best suits his group's tastes. Eight chapters detail the sights, encounters and dangers that can be found in Beijing, Sian, the Taklamakan, Peshawar and Kham, to name a few of the places to visit during the campaign, on a journey that will take them from China to northern India to Tibet.
