Less is more: The Rupal Light 18 Alpine Backpack has deliberately avoided unnecessary features without compromising on alpine functionality. So a rope attachment is just as on board as loops for two ice tools or trekking poles and straps for efficient compression. The slim design of the lightweight alpine backpack and our Ergoshape FoM shoulder straps (Freedom of Movement) guarantee maximum freedom of movement when climbing: Two separately adjustable and removable chest straps pull the straps far inwards if necessary, giving the shoulder joint even more leeway. Since the Rupal Light 18 alpine backpack is designed for a low weight anyway, it does not require a padded waist belt. Instead, a slim (and removable) strap with click closure keeps the load stable at the body centre of gravity. The main compartment can be opened or closed very quickly by a cover with just one hand. Inside there is a hydration bladder compartment, on the outside of the back a practical zip pocket for topo cards, smartphone etc. All this makes this minimalist alpine backpack the ideal companion for fast and light tours where every gram counts.
