Description
The EX89 MT sneaker combines the traditional look of the 1989 GEL-EXTREME basketball shoe with the most modern cushioning properties. It was originally created by Toshikazu Kayano in the late 1980s and is the designer's first project in collaboration with ASICS. The high-top design has been reworked with a mid-cut construction and color palette that creates a vintage "lived-in" effect. We've updated the cushioning system with our FF BLAST technology. The shape of the heel is sculpted to improve comfort under the foot in all situations faced on a daily basis. The pattern on the sole represents an urban panorama seen from above. Its functional fit was initially inspired by the designer's first business trip to the United States in 1987.
