‘Fairies’ follows the two fairy tribes and their young heirs; Jonas of the Iddys tribe and Romalia of the Inaz, as fate brings them together (and then tries to tear the continent apart-Fate's a bugger like that) There’s a talking mouse (complete with the obligatory waistcoat) and a ‘badass’ squirrel called ‘Suzi’ (with a zed!) We meet Fingus (and his flasks) and his acquaintance; Grubber, as they try (unsuccessfully) to keep their boss out of the clutches of evil. The saga crosses many boundaries as we tread the treacherous paths into the Mountain halls of the goblin king, are attacked by serpents and arachnids, as well as something infinitely worse; bossy older sisters! ‘Fairies’ is the first book of the opening trilogy, our first trepid steps into the world of Payohtea. Through these first three stories; Fairies, Goblins and the Merfolk, we will witness the opening tale unwind, seen through the many different eyes, and these will be our base-camp from where we will explore this strange land, a realm, that we might soon discover, is not so very different to our own...
