The WIPO-PCT Applicants Guides (www.wipo.int) detail the general practice and procedure to be followed before the RO, ISA, SISA, IB, and IPEA's under the Patent Co-operation Treaty (PCT). The full online PCT Applicant's Guide at www.wipo.int/pct/en/guide details the specific practices to be followed before each specific office. Our Indexed version improves on the official version by: making digital-only versions available again on paper adding useful overviews from the WIPO website completely modifying and re-ordering the contents to fully use the Letter (approx. A4) page size, reducing the number of pages from approx. 1000 to about 500 pages with a legible font size. This also gives a better overview of adjacent relevant paragraphs. annotating the start of each paragraph with the most relevant legal basis. retaining the original paragraph numbering so that references in other sources can be found. providing our flowchart (in color on the cover and B/W inside) to illustrate the procedure, together with references to relevant paragraphs of the Applicant Guides. replacing the official contents per part by our single Detailed Table of Contents. We have abbreviated the paragraph headings to allow quick scanning, added page numbers to speed up getting to the correct page, and indicated sections with significant changes in the last 3 years. IP law is highly complex and continuously changing, so always double-check the status with the latest WIPO resources and national patent offices. This book is suitable as a desktop reference for everyday use by attorneys and administrators. It is also suitable for anyone studying PCT Patent Law and exam candidates. For European Qualifying Exam (EQE) candidates, this is the official version for EQE 2024 Main Exam & Pre-Exam. This Study Edition is printed on thicker paper to make it more suitable for intensive tabbing, annotating and highlighting.
