Climate control is crucial for stop-and-go activities on the mountain as well as speed hiking in autumn or winter. We have developed the Pedroc 2 TirolWool® Responsive Hybrid Jacket precisely for such activities: it is lightweight, warm, breathable and specially designed for movement-intensive activities in cold conditions. The TirolWool® Responsive insulation is used, which is manufactured according to our proprietary TirolWool® hybrid technology and offers an ideal combination of insulation and breathability. TirolWool® Responsive combines the natural benefits of wool with modern thermo-regulating technology. The wool with a high lanolin content (wool wax) is obtained from Tyrolean mountain sheep and is highly functional: the wool fibres warm even when wet, regulate the body temperature and at the same time prevent unpleasant odours. Responsive is a patented blend of thermoreactive minerals that are powdered and melted into a resin that is then incorporated into the core of recycled polyester fibers. As a result, the fabric has the unique ability to convert, store and gradually return the radiant heat of the body to infrared light. On the one hand, this stimulates circulation and blood circulation, which in turn promotes regeneration, on the other hand, the insulation performance can be maintained longer. Made in a lightweight, wind-resistant nylon outer material, which is additionally equipped with a water-repellent DWR treatment (Durable Water Repellent), the 50 g lightweight TirolWool® Responsive insulation is used on the arms and in the chest area. The double-woven Durastretch material in the forearm area provides the necessary breathability: it allows sweat to evaporate quickly and is quick-drying. In addition, the jacket impresses with features such as an insulated hood and two side pockets with zip and a chest pocket on the inside. In addition, the complete jacket can be stored in its own side pocket - and thus stored compressed in the backpack.
