Half a century, or in other words, 50 years. It has been so long since Udo Lindenberg founded the legendary panic orchestra. On August 13, 1973, this merger was made official, since then it was like an inseparable alliance, and even if the cast of the band always made some changes, it should remain as such until the last. Pretty exactly 10 years after the founding of the band, Odyssey appeared one of the most important albums in German music history, which Udo Lindenberg and his panic orchestra should firmly cement into the consciousness of the nation still divided at the time. Especially during the joint live concerts, it became clear how harmoniously and symbiotically the interplay of singer and band or orchestra worked. A legendary show followed the next, and even the initially applicable prohibition of appearance in the GDR, should finally be lifted for this special act exceptionally. In the same year in which Odyssey appeared, the legendary concert took place in the CCH (Congress Center Hamburg), before which visitors could not suspect that they should become part of another iconic release. In January 1990, Lindenberg was able to go on tour through the former GDR for the first time with the new panic orchestra in the course of the political turn, with the concert in Leipzig also recorded and released as the live album live in Leipzig.
