Motul Lubricating Oil for Hybrid Engines Ngen 0W12 1 Litre Engine oil, synthetic of biological origin "Fuel Economy" specially designed for hybrid electric vehicles (H.E.V) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (P.H.E.V) equipped with recent petrol engines, supercharged or naturally aspirated, with direct or indirect injection, designed to use SAE 0W-12 oil with low friction and low viscosity HTHS (High Temperature High Shear) (≥ 2.0 mPa.s). MOTUL NGEN HYBRID 0W-12 is specially formulated to overcome the technical challenges imposed by petrol hybrid cars, such as fuel dilution, water emulsion, intensive use of the stop/start system and low temperature operation. This state-of-the-art formulation is part of a completely new sustainable concept from Motul, as it contains 25% organic base (synthetic bases of 100% renewable vegetable origin) and uses Motul's 50% recycled and 100% recyclable plastic packaging. This organic lubricant base formulated with renewable, non-fossil raw materials limits the environmental impact and allows Motul to reduce its carbon footprint by 25% during the manufacturing process. MOTUL NGEN is the common name for Motul's sustainable ranges using different technologies in formulation and packaging to reduce its carbon footprint. This dedicated formulation can also be used for petrol engines requiring a SAE 0W-12 viscosity grade lubricant or a "Fuel Economy" lubricant in viscosity grade 12, with API SP and/or ILSAC GF-6A level standards. MOTUL NGEN HYBRID 0W-12 is suitable for battery electric vehicles (B.E.V.) equipped with a gasoline engine used as a range extender. Compatible with catalytic converters and particulate filters. The SAE 0W-12 viscosity grade severely minimises the hydrodynamic friction of the lubricant and allows for maximum fuel economy benefits, especially when the oil is cold. This ultra-low viscosity grade also improves oil flow at cold start and generates faster oil pressure, facilitates greater agility in rpm rise and allows the engine to reach operating temperature faster, regardless of the engine's operating mode. The specific organic base of NGEN HYBRID 0W-12 improves all conventional API criteria and requirements while improving engine cold start and lower fuel consumption, and improving oil consumption control. MOTUL NGEN HYBRID 0W-12 meets all the requirements and characteristics demanded in the well-known API SP and ILSAC GF-6B levels, even though the SAE 0W-12 grade is not included in these specifications, as it is a very innovative grade.
