You press the large (test) button 3x on one smoke detector and then press the test button 3x on the other smoke detector. The back of the smoke detector will then light up green to let you know that pairing was successful. All this is also described in detail in the manual. The FZ5010R smoke detectors from ELRO come standard with all the necessary mounting material. With this set, you simply attach the detector to your ceiling with screws. We recommend installing at least one smoke detector on each floor of your home. Always place a smoke detector against the ceiling. The best places to place a detector are part of your escape route, for example in the hallway, landing and stairs. Maintenance For smoke detectors to work optimally, it is important to keep them clean. The simplest thing to do is to dust the detector once a month with a vacuum cleaner. Never use detergents on the detectors when cleaning them. In addition, we recommend testing the functions of the smoke detector every month by pressing the test button.
