It is the updated version of the popular L-308S. This new model is suitable for both photographer and film maker. Just as modern cameras today can record video and stills images, this meter is ideally suited to both styles of capture. Switching between shutter speeds, or frames per second could not be easier. The Flashmate L-308X is suited to users of Mirrorless, DSLR, Broadcast ENG or Cinema System Cameras, full control of frame rates and shutters speeds are available. For creatives working with Chroma-key or technical situations where consistency of light is required across surfaces the L-308X provides both LUX and Foot Candle (FC) readings, for these situations Sekonic recommend the optional Lumadisc accessory is used. For students, and experienced photographers alike, the Flashmate L-308X is ideal for reading ambient or flash exposures in either reflected or incident modes, and it displays accurate exposure readings in full, half, or third-stop increments to mirror the exposure settings of today's DSLR, Mirrorless and film cameras. The LCD screen is now equipped with a sea-green backlight. This is especially useful when working on low-light sets, or on night photoshoots. Exposure data and related information are displayed using large type and easy-to-read icons, legible in even low-level lighting conditions.
