Description Product Description In the years 1954 to 1957, the NSU Super Lux was produced in the then largest motorcycle factory in the world, the NSU plants in Neckarsulm as the successor of the highly successful NSU Lux. Compared to the Lux, the Super Lux had an engine power increased from 8.6 to 11 hp and thus also reached the image-rich top speed of 100 kilometres per hour, after the Lux missed this sound barrier at just 95 km/h. In order not to have to suffer any loss in terms of range in the increased engine performance, NSU engineers had simultaneously increased the tank volume from 11 to 14 litres of tank volume. In order to ensure sufficient deceleration in the increased performance compared to the Lux, the Super Lux used full hub brakes made of aluminium.
