Description

In November 2021, De Staat launched his project red yellow blue. After more than 1.5 years, the project will peak in June 2023 and release in full length. These include songs like: Who's Gonna Be The GOAT? (yellow), Look At Me (red) and Running Backwards Into The Future (blue). During the pandemic, there was more peace and space to work together on new songs. During the creation process, De Staat noticed different styles in their demos again - all with the recognizable, own sound. After the first songs were finished, they were divided into primary colors for convenience. These three colours represent mood states: red for the dark side, yellow for carefree, danceable songs and blue for melancholy. Together they represent the entire spectrum of what De Staat is at the moment. Once they realized that, they were able to expand the boundaries within that framework. While Torre has always written most of the music, the band has been involved in writing new songs more than before. This created pieces that would not otherwise have been written. Andrew Scheps is the mixed technician of these songs. He received Grammy awards for his work on Red Hot Chili Peppers Stadium Arcadium, 21 by Adele and Fly Rasta by Ziggy Marley.
