This is the story of one man’s journey to obtain a deeper understanding of himself and mankind through captivating adventures from around the world. After being introduced to Europe via a high school French class trip, David Simmons would spend the next fourteen years studying, working, teaching and traveling throughout 77 countries. David was passionate about immersing himself within the culture of whatever country he was visiting. From traveling for 30 days across Russia in third class coach on the Siberian Railway, to spending 4 days on the Amazon River with an indigenous host family, he came to the realization that we as humans are one of a similar kind, no matter the religion, country or culture we are raised in. This book is about adventure, kindness, generosity, lifelong friendships, danger, intrigue and downright mind-blowing coincidences happening around the world. The reader will witness David eventually fulfill his passion for travel and find his forever home in a most unexpected place. After meeting the love of his life and purchasing a spectacular home, an unimaginable tragedy would end the life of a man whose quest was to convey respect, acceptance and compassion for everyone in his life.
