Product Description 4226A is a highly insulating varnish with excellent arc resistance. This dielectric coating is a low viscosity, 1-part coating that is easy to use and adheres well to many substrates. Dielectric coatings like 4226A protect high voltage parts such as transformers, coils, motor windings, and various electric generator parts against arc, corrosion, and moisture fouling. 4226A is free of hazardous air pollutant solvents (HAPs) such as xylene and toluene. For red insulating varnish, see 4228. Features & Benefits High dielectric strength – 3 000 V/mil Maintains dielectric protection under conditions of high humidity and high temperature Excellent finish – tough, flexible, glossy, and durable transparent coat Adheres to metals, glass, and most common plastics HAPs-free solvent system (no xylene, toluene, and MEK) Directions Prepare surfaces; apply varnish using recommended techniques such as brushing; allow drying between coats; follow safety measures during application.
